We were really privileged to have the Bishop of Oxford, The Rt Rev Dr Steven Croft visit the Prayer Space we were running at Tyndale community School in the heart of Cowley in Oxford in November 2017.
BeSpace led the prayer Space with Oxford Community Church and also with support later in the week from Cowley St James church and from St Mary and St John’s Church on the Cowley Road. Bishop Steven spent time exploring the different activities with the children and learning more about the work we do and the growth of Prayer Spaces in the Diocese.
We are so excited that Bishop Steven was able to see how schools and young people are appreciating the opportunity to reflect, pray, pause or just be still in our busy world.
Matthew Watt, the Principle of Tyndale said,
“BeSpace has had a significant impact upon our lives. In the busyness of the 21st Century, providing a time for children to pause, reflect and pray before continuing is pivotal. Spirituality has been much neglected in schools for some time now and BeSpace show that it is something that needs to be fostered effectively and also has a life changing impact upon the children and adults”
